Designing your Floor Plan
To efficiently design your floor plan, you have to place certain equipments on close proximity with each other during drafting. Utilize the equipment list and links to share with your architect/engineer so they can draft blueprints according to your draft floor plan. Below are sample floor plans with equipment placement and its reasoning:
A) Retail A
A) Equipment 1, 2, 3, and 4 should always be in close proximity with each other. The deep freezer holds your ice blocks, and the shaver manning the shave ice machine needs to be able to access them easily. The shave ice machines are on top of an under-counter freezer which stores the cold plates (optional). A water source, in this example is a prep sink, and a water source is essential in keeping your shave ice machine clean between uses.
B) Equipment 10 are kitchen tables that are useful to be in close proximity to the shave ice machines. The kitchen table can hold toppings that do not need refrigeration like graham crackers and shaved products can be placed on them for topping and organizational purposes.
C) Equipment 11, a topping fridge holds your refrigerated toppings like strawberries and whipped cream. it can be place in front (near the customer pick up counter) to show off the products being topped.
B) Food Trailer
A) Ice Shaver is close to a water source (3 comp sink)
B) Deep Freezer us a little further away from ice shaver but since trailers are typically smaller and all equipments are in close proximity with each other, it is doable.
C) Retail B
A) Ice Shavers and -45 Freezers (deep freezers) and a water source are all in close proximity with each other.
B) Topping fridge is facing the customers.
C) Prep tables are strategically placed near the ice shavers
D) Retail C
A) Ice Shavers and -45 Freezers (deep freezers) and a water source are all in close proximity with each other.
B) Topping fridge is facing the customers.
C) Prep tables are strategically placed near the ice shavers
